It's more than a day it's a movement!
Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season. It is a movement to create an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. Giving Tuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and this year, it's on December 1, 2020. This year 2020 it looks a little different because of what the world is facing. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. It's been encouraged to give every Tuesday.
