Kelly J. Maxey
Director of Operations
Kelly is the Director of Operations for Steel Hope. She plays a pivotal part in the functionality of the organization on a day-to- day basis. She has various talents that help with the operations. Kelly is a native Texan and a graduate of Grapevine High School.
Shortly after high school at the age of 19, Kelly was in a horrific automobile accident. She broke her left femur, as well as both right and left bilateral tibia and fibulas. She also suffered compound fractures in both fibulas, a broken neck at axis, and a left broken ankle. Due to experiencing severe nerve damage and undergoing 18 surgeries to repair the damage, she almost died. A long road of recovery was ahead; it took her five years to learn how to walk again without any assistance of a walker, canes, or crutches. Her heart is definitely for the hurting, especially having experienced so much pain herself.
Kelly has two boys and is married to an amazing Godly man, Chris Maxey. They have been a part of Steel Hope from the beginning, as Kelly is one of the founding directors. She recently became a certified instructor with the R.E.A.P. International School of Ministry. She is also in the process of writing her book and sharing her story with many others.
